1. Clean out your fridge and pantry.
Get rid of all old condiments and spices. Wipe everything down. Make a quick list of what you need to replace. It'll make you feel better about cooking and being in your kitchen with a clean slate.

2. Make a large salad at start of the week
This is great as it will last you the whole week. You can store it in a large container in the fridge and take it out at each meal. It is also very healthy to have salad at each meal and it adds another dish to the table

3. Make a menu and shop accordingly
Plan a menu- it could be weekly- and then shop accordingly. This is also good so every one knows what food there will be and so there is dishes that everyone likes.

4. Make an easy dish

5. Freezer food
Stock up on freezer starters like samosas, fish fingers, hash browns etc. these can easily be thrown into the oven and make a meal or just to bulk up the amount of food on your table.
Also, there are some meals you can buy- like ready made fish and chips or even pizza which you can bake in the oven.

6. Use leftovers to your advantage
Whenever you have some leftover food, why not turn it into something new!
For example, if you made spaghetti bolognaise and you have spare mince- make mince curry (keema) or whip up some mash and make shepherd's pie.
Or freeze the leftovers for another iftar later on in the month. Leftover veggies can be used in scrambled eggs or a frittata for suhoor and extra meat can be thrown into soup or rice to add texture, flavour and protein to a dish.

7. Keep the table set
By keeping the table set at suhoor and Iftar it makes it much easier to be ready for meals. Just clean the food up after each meal but leave the table set.

8. Freeze food for later
Chop up and store and vegetables in the freezer for later. This make it easy to throw them into any meal curries, soups, rice, stir frys etc. (Even herbs like coriander)
Also, you could make food e.g. kebabs, puff pastry
starters, marinated chicken etc and freeze it for later. You could also make
smoothie bags with fruits that you freeze and pop into a blender for a quick suhoor
or drink at iftar.
