Ramadan at home:
Preparing your home for Ramadan: Celebrate this Ramadan with your friends or family at home by gaining as much reward as you can and why not make your home a place of worship in this month, why not make it an area dedicated to do good and gain reward. Scroll down and find out some creative ways to lighten up the vibe in your house; here are some things you can do to be ready for Ramadan this year...
1. Re-arrange
your living room

This is a great idea and easy to do if you want to change up the main room in the house by moving a sofa or two. This is also great as it promotes the idea of change in Ramadan - so if you feel like something in your home has changed you also can change and become a better person in Ramadan and after. [tip: maybe change your setting so that your tv is not the centre of attention, so you can mostly focus on your prayer]
2. Create an area especially for prayer, Quran and worship

This is a brilliant idea which I do yearly and normally leave for a while after Ramadan since we love it so much. It makes it a lot easier to just grab a Quran and start reading of it is right Infront of you.
I usually make this area very comfy with cushions and prayer mats so people can get comfortable and take their time here. And I put Qurans, prayer mats, and religious books in this area.
3. Hang around some reminders or hadiths

I usually write up duas, hadiths and reminders etc and hang them around the house. This is beneficial as constant reminders to keep up the good deeds and read prayers throughout the day.
4. Good deeds around the house
I write down some easy acts me and my family can do to get some reward around the house so that we can be reminded. Here are some you can print out and out up. Also check out my post with ideas of simple good deeds to do. LINK
Here is a link to the photo above you can print it out and put around your house. It has easy good deeds you can do in a minute.
5. Decorations around the house
A great way to get into the Ramadan vibe is to decorate your house. I love to do this a it is fun and can be great for kids. [Also see my other blog post with decorations you can easily do, it also has some free printable decorations] Click here for blog post
6. Set goals for yourself

Set some goals for yourself and practise them this Ramadan this a excellent method to get rid of bad habits and start good ones which you can continue after Ramadan.
Here is a printable I use to set my goals; I usually colour in parts I have done.
Also check out my other post of ideas of goals you could have on your checklist. GOAL IDEAS...Click Here :)
7. Do shopping and be ready for Ramadan

Try and do any shopping in advance for Ramadan or bulk shop so when Ramadan comes you can focus on prayers and so you won't have to go out while fasting.
[Also check out my blog post with food hacks for Ramadan-Which is COMING SOON]
8. Make a Dua list
This is a superb way to learn new duas and practise old ones, also see my post which has duas you can print out for Ramadan. [COMING SOON]
9. Sunnah list

This is a list of all the sunnahs and nafls with each fard salah, here is a printable you can use in your house.
This is a brilliant way to maximise your reward by doing extra salahs.
[Remember Fard is compulsory, witr is wajib (obligatory), sunnahs are highly recommended -as the prophet did them and Nafl is optional/voluntary.]
Copy and paste this image if you want to print this out.
10. Charity sheet

A charity sheet or box is a where everyone in your family can track their charity each day. I use a sheet and write everyone's name along the top and underneath each day my family can write -if so- how much charity they want to give that day.
This doesn't have to be a large sum each day it can be small- around 20p-£1 and by the end of Ramadan you should count it and give you amount of money as sadaqah.
The prophet said that the 'best deeds are consistent, even if small'.
I hope this page has been beneficial to you. Have a blessed Ramadan! ☾✩
